Get Expert AdviceDo we get all the raw photos as well as the edited ones?
I was wondering whether it's normal to get two sets of photos, like, all the original ones and then the edited ones? Do we pick the ones to be edited or does the photographer do that?
Should our bridal party be an even number?
Is it better to have even numbers for our photographs?
Alodia Oei Photography
I'm guessing the question is related the evenly symetry composition in the photograph, the answer is NO, you dont have to put extra person that you don't really want to, just to get an even number of your bridal party for that purpose.
That is the job of your photographer. One good Photographer should be able to create a good composition of every scene and situation given, includes a group shot of an uneven bridal party without making it look awkard or expose the weakness. That's one of many reasons why you will hire a good dedicated profesional wedding photographer.
It is better to have an even number, but not compulsory.
Put people you trust, person that close to you, those that you love to be directly involved in your big day, regardless of whether they're gonna be 12 or 13 people.

Every photographer have their own policy on this,
some edit the photos and give them all along with the original, some give all the original, ask you to choose your favourite up to certain number and then edit them for you, some give you the edited photos and wait months until they release the unedited for you, some might charge you exra for the unedited one, and so on.. and so on.. I personally think nothing wrong with any policy they do, as long as it's agreed between both photographer and the client.
At Alodia Oei Photography, I share the believe that photography is form of art, about how we utilise light to create an image and tell a story for years to come, and as form of art, it has to represent the thought, perspective and imagination of the creator ( in this regard is the Photographer ), therefore it has to be presented in a final form, which is includes post processing stage, and not in half cook or igredients form of an image ( RAW file )
Hope this help
