OVERVIEW
I am an established celebrant who is dedicated to providing and facilitating a professional, sincere and warm ceremony ensuring your requirements and needs are catered for. Formal or casual/happy to include children if desired.
My aim is to work with you to design a unique ceremony, ensuring that everything flows with ease, so that together we create a ceremony which will reflect your ´personal essence´, ideals and philosophies of what marriage means to you.
In a relaxing yet professional manner I ensure the ceremony on "the day" captures the happy moment in your hearts forever. The process up to and including the wedding day should be comfortable and relaxed. The ceremony itself should be of high quality and have that ´personal´ touch meant for you and you alone. Additional ceremonies such as Butterfly, Sand, Rose, Hand-Fasting and Ring-Warming (etc!) ceremonies may be added to the ´core´ ceremony.
My services encompass the following:
Both hetrosexual & same gender couples
• Unlimited contact by telephone / email.
• Flexible appointments.
• Provision, preparation and processing of all legal documentation.
• Ceremony individualised to reflect your sentiments and values.
• Suggestions for Ceremony proceedings.

Get Expert AdviceCan I have sample Christian vows for a couple who choose not to be married?
We just want some kind of "pledge" to have.
Janine Gilland - Civil Marriage Celebrant
Hello - thank you for your question!
I hope the following is of assistance for you ..
The most traditional Christian vows would be the following, however as it is NOT ACTUALLY A WEDDING the words would have to be adapted e.g. Today I take you to be my heartfelt soul mate/partner - removing "wedded husband/wife" etc :
"I, ___, take thee, ___, to be my wedded husband/wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith [or] pledge myself to you."
Warm wishes,
Janine Gilland, Civil Marriage Celebrant.
My parents think I am too young for marriage. What can I do?
Janine Gilland - Civil Marriage Celebrant
That is a very difficult question for a Celebrant to answer as it is such a personal point of view. Perhaps compromise by both parties would be wise - alternatively I suggest you seek the advice a professional counsellor who may be able to assist with a favourable outcome for all. There are many available the various organisations which are cost effective & through Government websites.
I hope this assists you in some way.
Warm wishes, Janine Gilland - Civil Marriage Celebrant.
What are wedding vows?
Janine Gilland - Civil Marriage Celebrant
Hello - I hope the following is of assistance to you.
Wedding vows are a time honoured tradition & lifelong promise you give to each other on your wedding day - they are a defining part of your ceremony. Vows express the intent, promises & potential of marriage built on love, faithfulness & the depth of commitment to one another.
There is a legal sentence which is required to be said (as laid down by the Marriage Act 1961) followed by your personal choice or selection of words. Your Celebrant should guide you every step of the way with this - you have the choice of repeating them after the Celebrant, reading off a cue card or memorising what you wish to say.
Warm wishes, Janine Gilland, CMC
