Modern, romantic, and a ballroom big enough to boogie made wedding venue shopping a cinch for Melbourne lovers, Elyse and Drazen.<\/h3>\n

The Orthodox couple celebrated their San Remo Ballroom<\/strong><\/a> wedding on November 27, 2021, with a pared-back but sizable guest list of 160.<\/p>\n

The formalities began at St Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church with a traditional wedding ceremony in three languages! Elyse’s perfectly formed Hollywood waves sat elegantly against her Martina Liana lace wedding gown, purchased from Fairytales Bridal Boutique<\/strong><\/a>. Drazen looked sharp in a classic M.J. Bale tux, flanked handsomely by his boys in Ferrari Formal Wear<\/strong><\/a> suits.<\/p>\n

With ample time for guests to freshen up before the San Remo Ballroom reception began, the bridal party posed for photographer Theodore & Co<\/strong><\/a> at several stunning outdoor locations around the city.<\/p>\n

Later, when guests arrived at the newly refurbished Carlton wedding venue, they enjoyed canapes of calamari and gnocchi before a sumptuous but unpretentious feast of beef, chicken, potatoes, and Cypriot salad. The abundant menu also included panna cotta for dessert and the venue’s very own pav \u2014 the San Remo mess!<\/p>\n

MusicBox Entertainment had the spacious dancefloor pumping with Greek and Serbian crowd favourites; and celebrity MC, George Kapinaris, topped off the entertainment in a way the Europeans truly appreciated.<\/p>\n

Being of a European background, San Remo Ballroom couldn’t have been more perfect. It is a huge venue, and they understand the importance of good food and drinks, and large quantities. We also wanted to have a good relationship with whatever venue we chose, and we found the staff at San Remo to be really genuine and good to work with. We had looked at a few other venues, and you definitely get a gut feeling about which place is best for what you want for your wedding day. It’s where all the fun happens!<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

My bouquet was a mixture of roses and orchids and the bridesmaids were roses. I wanted to keep it classic but modernise it a bit, everything had a really soft vibe.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
