{"id":193885,"date":"2013-12-02T12:29:09","date_gmt":"2013-12-02T01:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/ereney-youssefs-grand-black-tie-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-05-17T16:44:10","modified_gmt":"2022-05-17T06:44:10","slug":"ereney-youssefs-grand-black-tie-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/ereney-youssefs-grand-black-tie-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Friends become lovers: Ereney &amp; Youssef&#8217;s grand black tie wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Love turns up in unexpected places and for Melbourne bride Ereney Takla that was in a hospital with friend Youssef Francis.<\/p>\n<p>The pair had known one another for years and after Ereney, 26, suffered a terrible misfortune, it was Youssef, 31, she found by her side. \u201cYoussef is a private person and I was never able to proceed beyond his surface (when we were friends),\u201d says Ereney. \u201cIn hospital I saw a side I couldn\u2019t have imagined could lie behind that gorgeous exterior.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ereney credits her blossoming relationship for her recovery. \u201cOur friendship became a relationship in the roughest time of my life,\u201d she recalls. \u201cLooking back, I recognise that sharing that time with him made it an experience that I was able to grow from and heal mentally and physically.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Such a grand relationship called for a grand black tie wedding and consequently the couple\u2019s celebrations included a pre-wedding event, ceremony and reception at Eureka Towers. One hundred guests joined the bride-and-groom-to-be at <a title=\"Zinc at Federation Square\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Melbourne\/ZINCatFederationSquare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zinc Melbourne<\/a> on the Yarra on Australia Day 2013 to enjoy the fireworks.
