{"id":193784,"date":"2014-03-27T14:00:29","date_gmt":"2014-03-27T03:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/lady-in-red-the-unique-vintage-wedding-of-kirsty-matt\/"},"modified":"2022-03-16T15:55:03","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T04:55:03","slug":"lady-in-red-the-unique-vintage-wedding-of-kirsty-matt","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/lady-in-red-the-unique-vintage-wedding-of-kirsty-matt\/","title":{"rendered":"Lady in red: the unique vintage wedding of Kirsty &amp; Matt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">When the bride makes her living as an <a title=\"Willow Events &amp; Styling\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingPlanner\/Perth\/WillowEventsAndStyling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">event planner and stylist<\/a> &#8211; you can be sure the wedding is going to look amazing.<\/p>\n<p>This was certainly the case for Kirsty Macara, 35, and Matthew Maxted, 27, who were married in Trigg, WA on February 8, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The vintage wedding was styled in red and pink with every detail thoughtfully created. &#8220;I am about walking to the beat of your own\u00a0drum, using your heart to guide your choices and being brave enough to be unique,&#8221; says Kirsty. &#8220;I have always wanted to wear red and I found the perfect dress at Wheels &amp; Dollbaby.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kirsty says she loves clashing colours and therefore made the choice to mix red and pink as the colour palette. Her bridesmaids were lucky enough to choose their own gowns, as well as hair and makeup styles. &#8220;We are all individual, with different skin tones, face and body shapes &#8211; so why all the uniform?&#8221; states Kirsty.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of a traditional bouquet the bride created a piece using brooches given to her by all her lady guests.
