Playful twists on tradition ensured Lisa Rouhliadeff and Lucas Coe\u2019s big day was unique to them.<\/p>\n
Balloons over flowers, tattoos instead of rings and a picnic-style ceremony where guests could relax on the grass were just some of the unusual touches of their summer cocktail wedding.<\/p>\n
The Sydney pair, Lisa, 30, and Lucas, 32, grew up together in the Blue Mountains, but it wasn\u2019t until a heated argument over who was paying for gum on a trip to 7Eleven that they knew they\u2019d met their match.<\/p>\n
\u201cLucas found someone to push him outside of his comfort zone and I found someone who could pull me back to earth. And we haven\u2019t gone a single day without speaking since that night, almost 10 years ago now,\u201d Lisa says.<\/p>\n
The couple wed on December 13, 2014 in front of 68 guests at Sydney\u2019s stunning Observatory Hill Park at Millers Point.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur guests relaxed on blankets and enjoyed snacks and bubbly while we went through the formalities of the occasion,\u201d Lisa says.<\/p>\n
The Quayside Room at the Museum of Contemporary Art, a rooftop room with stunning city views, hosted the reception.<\/p>\n
