{"id":193644,"date":"2015-02-17T21:31:57","date_gmt":"2015-02-17T10:31:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/sarah-shauns-surf-club-wedding-fairytale-twist\/"},"modified":"2022-03-16T16:33:10","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T05:33:10","slug":"sarah-shauns-surf-club-wedding-fairytale-twist","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/sarah-shauns-surf-club-wedding-fairytale-twist\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarah &amp; Shaun&#8217;s surf club wedding with fairytale twist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">When Sarah Sadeik and Shaun Anderson shared their first kiss on Sydney\u2019s Maroubra beach, little did they realise they would be marrying on the same spot seven years later.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe both love the water and outdoors and so were searching for a stunning ocean backdrop for a destination wedding, but we were also searching for something that would be special for us and somewhere that summed up our story,\u201d Sarah, 28, explains.<\/p>\n<p>Shaun, 31, proposed in Paris and the couple had just over a year to plan a fairytale-themed surf club wedding at Horizons in the South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club.<\/p>\n<p>The pair wed on December 13, 2014 in front of 140 friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>The couple was keen to involve family and friends \u2013 they were married by a close family friend and Shaun\u2019s sister Jessica, from Style Hire &amp; Assembly, helped create the wedding of their dreams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt became a DIY project for both Jessica and I to work on together which was really special. Every element of our wedding was planned and handmade by someone close to us,\u201d Sarah says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt truly was a family affair and it was honestly the best day ever.
