proposal?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEugene proposed on Valentine\u2019s Day &#8211; which he knows is very corny however he thought he could never get away with it on another day as I would know he was up to something,\u201d smiles Amy Akister, 24 of her groom Eugene Galati, 28. \u201cHe had filled the house with candles and had Michael Bubl\u00e9 playing in the background.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Cairns couple enjoyed a long engagement\u00a0before marrying at their classic wedding in Port Douglas. \u201cWe were in no rush to get married,\u201d explains Amy. \u201cWe slowly planned to day together which made things less stressful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The sun shone for the special day where 110 guests joined the couple in their celebration. \u201cOur wedding day was amazing and the best part was just having all of our family and friends together at once,\u201d smiles Amy. \u201cIt\u2019s so rare these days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple honeymooned in New Zealand and Vanuatu.<\/p>\n<p><img
