They had been looking for an excuse to have their loved ones visit them at their new home, and figured a wedding was the perfect one!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne hundred and eighty friends and family joined us for our special day and majority of those travelled at least 800km to be there,\u201d explains Elise. \u00a0And not only did they travel far and wide for the day, friends and family collected succulents all year to be used for the bouquets, buttonholes and centrepieces.<\/p>\n<p>The couple\u00a0made use of local suppliers including their \u201camazing\u201d photographer Jade Norwood. \u201cWe also aimed to only buy things that we could use afterwards, or hire, so there was minimal waste,\u201d says the bride.<\/p>\n<p>And a loving wedding wouldn\u2019t be complete without <a title=\"Planning a pet-friendly wedding\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/blogs\/easy-weddings-blog\/ideas-planning-pet-friendly-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">including the (fur) kids<\/a>! \u201cOur two dogs played a special part in that they were our ring bearers,\u201d says Elise. \u201cThey were both strays that we adopted when we lived in Coober Pedy and they have
