That was until a group of friends attended the Melbourne Cup in 2006. \u201cI ended up in the back of a taxi with Trent\u2019s mum, who decided at that point that I was a lovely girl and I should really start dating her youngest son,\u201d she smiles.\u00a0 \u201cI just laughed her off and forgot about it until the end of the year when we were both at the mutual friend\u2019s party, and after seeing Trent I thought maybe his mum was on to something.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">A few years later Trent proposed in the \u201csweetest\u201d way possible \u2013 hiding a ring inside a Kinder Surprise! \u201cI can honestly say when I cracked open that yellow container I never expected to see a beautiful ring inside,\u201d smiles Leanne.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">They opted for a tropical wedding in\u00a0Fiji at <a title=\"InternContinental Fiji\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/DestinationWeddings\/Canberra\/InterContinentalFiji\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">InterContinental<\/a> on November 28, 2014. Leanne says even though some family and friends couldn\u2019t make the trip, it was the right decision to <a title=\"FAQ: Everything you wanted to know about destination weddings\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/blogs\/easy-weddings-blog\/faq-everything-wanted-know-destination-weddings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">marry overseas<\/a>. \u201cIt was just such
