Emily Harrison thought this was just a \u201cnice sentiment\u201d her married girlfriends told her out of pity. \u201cI never thought it would happen to me,\u201d the 29-year-old says. \u201c<\/span>That was, until one spontaneous girls’ night out I was waiting in an alley way in line to get into a bar in the city, when a very tall, gorgeous Indian looking Matthew-Pavlich-lookalike walks past,\u201d laughs Emily. \u201cI grabbed him and slurred \u2018you\u2019re not going anywhere!'”<\/p>\n

Despite her forceful approach toward Philip John, also 29, the two hit it off and knew early on they would be married. \u201cI realised this is what people meant when they told me ‘you’ll just know’.”<\/p>\n

They married with a red-themed classic wedding on\u00a0September 26, 2015 in Perth. Their ceremony at St Mary\u2019s Cathedral was followed by a reception at the Old Swan Brewery<\/a>. \u201cTo celebrate Phil’s Indian culture<\/a>, I changed into a sari at the reception, accompanied by Bollywood style dancing,\u201d explains Emily. \u201cI loved that we could recognise his family traditions, and surprise our Australian guests.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple honeymooned in Tahiti\u2019s Bora Bora.<\/p>\n
