{"id":193450,"date":"2015-09-20T14:00:37","date_gmt":"2015-09-20T04:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/loves-no-joke-emily-and-nicks-glen-erin-winery-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-16T17:31:25","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T06:31:25","slug":"loves-no-joke-emily-and-nicks-glen-erin-winery-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/loves-no-joke-emily-and-nicks-glen-erin-winery-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Love&#8217;s no joke: Emily and Nick&#8217;s Glen Erin winery wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">An unusual sense of humour was no laughing matter for 25-year-old Emily Gigacz and Nick Fogarty, 27 &#8211; it&#8217;s what brought them together.<\/p>\n<p>The pair met through mutual friends at a nightclub and after a year of hanging out, realised there was a spark. \u201cWe have very similar personality types and the same strange sense of humour,\u201d smiles Emily. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t imagine life without each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After Nick proposed while holidaying in the US, the couple began planning their <a title=\"WWW: Wonderful winery weddings\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/blogs\/easy-weddings-blog\/www-wonderful-winery-weddings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winery wedding<\/a> for February 7, 2015. \u201cWe had lots of colours, bright flowers, greenery, pendant lights and timber furniture,\u201d describes Emily. \u201cThe ceremony was held in front of the vineyard at <a title=\"Glen Erin at Lancefield Vineyard Retreat\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Melbourne\/GlenErinatLancefieldVineyardRetreat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glen Erin at Lancefield<\/a> under a magnificent archway covered in bright, colourful flowers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Teams from The Style Co. and Dann Event Hire worked together to bring Emily\u2019s rustic vision to life. \u201cThey covered the ceiling thick with oak foliage, ivy and ferns and drops of lighting, transforming the space to create an indoor forest feel,\u201d praises Emily.<\/p>\n<p>For the bride, the most memorable moment of the day was seeing Nick\u2019s \u201csmiling but nervous\u201d face as she walked down the aisle.
