An elegant bridal gown, classy red lip, dapper suits for the boys and a venue styled to perfection – it’s all the ingredients you need for a classic wedding.

Kate Mulloy and Nathan Williams, both 29, met through mutual friends in their homeland of Tasmania. After a few years of separate travel and living, which Kate describes as “sad airport goodbyes and amazing reunions”, the pair finally settled back in Tasmania and became engaged during a winery trail.

They began the planning for the wedding day with 120 guests at Quamby Estate, Hagley on April 4, 2015. The classic theme was covered from go to whoa, with the bride’s Martina Liana gown from Timeless Elegance the centrepiece. “I always knew I loved the mermaid silhouette but I could not have been happier with this dress,” smiles Kate. “It was a statement gown.”

A stark but romantic contrast were her red Jessica Simpson shoes and eye-catching red bouquets. “We went with classic roses and the bouquets really help set the tone, without a whole lot of decorations the simple and classic look of red (mixed with pink and white roses) help set a classic tone to the day,” explains Kate.
