{"id":193303,"date":"2016-06-18T21:00:41","date_gmt":"2016-06-18T11:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/kate-chris-rustic-outdoor-wedding-beachside\/"},"modified":"2022-03-16T18:29:36","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T07:29:36","slug":"kate-chris-rustic-outdoor-wedding-beachside","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/kate-chris-rustic-outdoor-wedding-beachside\/","title":{"rendered":"Kate and Chris&#8217; rustic outdoor wedding, beachside"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Kate Lennox had always taken the lead in\u00a0planning getaways for her and long-time partner Chris Masters, so was somewhat surprised Chris\u00a0organised a holiday of his own.<\/p>\n<p>The Hobart pair, 27 and 28 respectively, travelled up Tasmania&#8217;s east coast, Kate blissfully unaware of Chris&#8217; intentions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The next morning, we drove to near Swansea and walked along Kelvedon Beach. I said to Chris that &#8220;I couldn&#8217;t be happier,&#8221; and just as I said it, he\u00a0knelt down behind me and asked, &#8220;Are\u00a0you sure you could not be happier?&#8221;&#8221; Kate recalls.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I jumped up and did cartwheels along the beach, frolicked, danced, throwing sand around and we swam to\u00a0celebrate!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The outdoors-loving couple have a particular soft spot for the ocean, and settled on Kate&#8217;s parents&#8217; Lauderdale property for their rustic outdoor wedding.<\/p>\n<p>They wed under a handmade arch in the garden on March 19, 2016 as 102 family and friends watched on from pews made of driftwood.\u00a0Tables and chairs were set up throughout the house and garden for guests to mingle and enjoy an exotic\u00a0banquet from the couple&#8217;s favourite local Indian restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted our wedding to be fun, happy and relaxed,&#8221; Kate says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The wedding was beyond\u00a0belief, the love and happiness was contagious, it was truly the best day of our lives and we are still smiling,\u00a0laughing and talking about our perfect day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Photos courtesy of <a title=\"Adam Gibson
