{"id":193296,"date":"2016-06-02T02:55:37","date_gmt":"2016-06-01T16:55:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/stunning-garden-wedding-best-friends-amanda-jack\/"},"modified":"2022-03-16T18:26:11","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T07:26:11","slug":"stunning-garden-wedding-best-friends-amanda-jack","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/stunning-garden-wedding-best-friends-amanda-jack\/","title":{"rendered":"Stunning garden wedding for best friends Amanda and Jack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">It took Jack Foo six frustrating months to realise there would be no more perfect time\u00a0to propose to Amanda Vecchi than &#8216;right now.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The Mornington Peninsula pair, 34 and 44 respectively, first met at work and things quickly progressed from &#8216;work friends&#8217; to best friends.<\/p>\n<p>Their friendship blossomed into romance and Jack soon found himself trying to plan the &#8216;perfect&#8217; proposal. &#8220;He had been planning it for months, but there was always something that wasn&#8217;t quite as he envisaged,&#8221; tells Amanda.\u00a0&#8220;He mentioned this to a friend one day, who [with tongue in cheek], threw it\u00a0straight back to Jack saying,\u00a0&#8220;I don\u2019t understand you; you are so close to the ground it shouldn\u2019t be such an effort for you to get down on one knee\u2026 stop making excuses!&#8221;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And so, on a hiking holiday\u00a0to Victoria&#8217;s Grampians, it finally dawned on Jack that all this waiting &#8220;was getting a tad silly,&#8221; says Amanda.\u00a0&#8220;As we held hands watching the sunrise&#8230; he started to rummage around in his rucksack to produce a ring that had been tucked away for months. He\u00a0took a deep breath and got down on one knee to ask me\u00a0to be his wife.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Their stunning garden wedding on April 24, 2016, was organised by pop-up wedding planners, <a title=\"Space Crush Events\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingPlanner\/Melbourne\/SpaceCrushEvents\/\">Space Crush Events<\/a>. It was held\u00a0in the quaint garden chapel at <a title=\"Dalywaters Rose Farm\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Mornington\/TheGardenChapelatDalywatersRoseFarm\/\">Dalywaters Rose Farm<\/a>, with\u00a0sixty\u00a0guests treated to a memorable afternoon tea reception in the beautiful grounds by the lake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur wedding was absolutely perfect.
