{"id":193267,"date":"2016-05-10T21:00:01","date_gmt":"2016-05-10T11:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/katie-zac-head-brisbanes-highest-point-mt-coot-tha-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-16T18:11:47","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T07:11:47","slug":"katie-zac-head-brisbanes-highest-point-mt-coot-tha-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/katie-zac-head-brisbanes-highest-point-mt-coot-tha-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Katie and Zac head to Brisbane&#8217;s highest point for Mt Coot-tha wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Hopeless romantic Zac Smart treated long-time girlfriend Katie\u00a0Pavliuchenko to a day of pampering before popping the question on Brisbane River.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Zac proposed a few months before our six-year anniversary on a beautiful gondola that was floating us along the Brisbane River at\u00a0sunset,&#8221; Katie, 23, explains.\u00a0&#8220;That day he had taken me shopping, bought me Lush bath-bombs and a new dress; little did I know this\u00a0was all leading up to the question!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Brisbane pair then began planning their Mt Coot-tha wedding, wanting to keep the celebrations laid-back and intimate to reflect them and their relationship.\u00a0Family heartache &#8211; Zac&#8217;s grandfather was unwell and Katie&#8217;s sister was also battling her own health problems &#8211; led the couple to bring their wedding forward. &#8220;It\u2019s been an emotional rollercoaster of a ride,&#8221; says Katie, &#8220;but Zac is my love, my life, my rock. He is the purest in heart and I couldn\u2019t be more proud to stand by his side.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The loved-up pair married at\u00a0the summit of Mt Coot-tha with 45 family and around 10 friends on January 23, 2016.\u00a0The Summit Restaurant hosted the ceremony before the celebrations moved downstairs to the Fountain View room.\u00a0Following the <a title=\"Reception venues\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/\">reception<\/a>, the bridal party moved on to a private room at the Breakfast Creek Hotel to meet up with more friends and continue the celebrations long into the night.<\/p>\n<p>The couple is now planning a move to Canada to visit Zac&#8217;s family where\u00a0they will walk down the aisle a second time for those who couldn&#8217;t
