{"id":193223,"date":"2016-11-20T21:00:23","date_gmt":"2016-11-20T10:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/flatmates-fall-hard-caitlin-adrians-elegant-romantic-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-16T19:16:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T08:16:23","slug":"flatmates-fall-hard-caitlin-adrians-elegant-romantic-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/flatmates-fall-hard-caitlin-adrians-elegant-romantic-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Flatmates fall hard: Caitlin and Adrian&#8217;s elegant romantic wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"m_-7322186966370836361MediumGrid21 lead\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">First impressions aren&#8217;t always right, just ask Hervey Bay couple Caitlin Horrobin and Adrian Martin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-7322186966370836361MediumGrid21\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">When bride Caitlin first\u00a0met her beau in 2013, she thought he was, well, gay! \u201c<\/span>I met Adrian after advertising for a housemate,\u201d the 29-year-old explains. \u201cHe showed up to have a look at the room and when he left I rang my best friend and said, \u2018I&#8217;ve just met my new housemate, really nice guy, I think he\u2019s gay\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-7322186966370836361MediumGrid21\">But she quickly realised she was wrong about the 35-year-old, who was in fact very straight. &#8220;Turns out my Gaydar was completely off and within weeks of Adrian moving in we were head over heels in love and completely inseparable,&#8221; laughs Caitlin. &#8220;We tried denying our feelings for each other to everyone around us, but the only people we were fooling was ourselves!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-7322186966370836361MediumGrid21\">Just a few months later they fell pregnant and, before giving birth to their son Theodore, Adrian proposed. \u201cImagine my surprise to see those two pink lines after doctors had told me I\u2019d never have kids,\u201d smiles\u00a0Caitlin. &#8220;We were so scared, but felt so blessed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-7322186966370836361MediumGrid21\">They married on May 14, 2016 in an elegant and\u00a0<a title=\"Epic and romantic songs for your first dance\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/articles\/20-epic-romantic-songs-for-first-dance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">romantic<\/a> wedding with\u00a060 guests. Their intimate ceremony at AnnaBella Chapel in Ilkey was followed by a reception at Forest Sanctuary in Forest Glen. \u201cIt was simply magical &#8211; so many fairy lights hung around the timber deck that had a rainforest canopy overhanging it.
