He wrote a beautiful letter and asked me to read it aloud, as I got to the bottom I read the words, &#8216;Will you marry me?&#8217; and I looked up and he was on bended knee with a one-carat cushion-cut diamond ring. We both cried and I said &#8216;Yes&#8217;!&#8221; Katrina, now 27 says.<\/p>\n<p>The Sydney pair waited two years before marrying in their classic wedding on August 14, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We were married at Bicentennial Park Homebush&#8230; \u00a0in front of our family and friends, and the reception with 250 guests was at <a title=\"WatervieW in Bicentennial Park\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Sydney\/WatervieWinBicentennialPark\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WatervieW<\/a>, also in Bicentennial Park,&#8221; Katrina says.<\/p>\n<p>The bride, and groom Leigh, 26, kept with a silver and purple theme for their classic wedding, which flowed from the <a title=\"Bridesmaid dresses\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/Bridesmaids\/\">bridesmaids&#8217; dresses<\/a> to the elegantly-styled reception.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We entered the reception with a Greek band\u00a0with a drummer\u00a0and fireworks&#8230; The best part was walking into the venue and having a party with our friends and family!&#8221; Katrina says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was a mix of culture! Lebanese, Greek and Australian &#8211; the party was never-ending and I&#8217;ve never seen such enjoyment from my family and friends.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Photos courtesy of <a title=\"Splendid Photos and
