I couldn&#8217;t stop thinking about him and about how\u00a0I would just love to marry him in a <a title=\"Hawaii honeymoon and destination wedding packages\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/honeymoon\/packages\/location\/hawaii\/\">dream wedding in Hawaii<\/a>,&#8221; Lyndal, 28, says.<\/p>\n<p>The dream came closer to reality for the Gold Coast girl when Matt, also 28, popped the question just 10 months later. &#8220;He had been away on a boys&#8217; trip for a week and came to my work to take me out to lunch,&#8221; describes Lyndal. &#8220;He proposed along the beach when I least expected it &#8211; who would ever expect a proposal on a Monday lunchtime?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The couple knew straight away they wanted to get married in Hawaii and, on April 6, 2016, wed in Waikiki at the base of Diamond Head in front of 48 friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We originally picked Magic Island, but two days before the wedding, when we had our\u00a0rehearsal, we arrived to the park and there\u00a0was construction going on. Red dirt, bright\u00a0orange tape, and workmen,&#8221; Lyndal says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our <a title=\"Wedding Celebrants\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/MarriageCelebrant\/\">celebrant<\/a>\u00a0refused to let us get married there and\u00a0managed to change the venue to Diamond\u00a0Head Beach Park. We didn\u2019t have time to\u00a0see the park until we arrived for the\u00a0wedding so I had to put all my trust unto\u00a0the celebrant&#8230; \u00a0I\u00a0am so grateful that happened because the\u00a0park was so private and the views were so\u00a0much better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Reception venues\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/\">Reception celebrations<\/a> followed at the Coconut Club, which offered 180-degree views of Waikiki.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was simply stunning. Our wedding was so relaxed, fun and beautiful,\u00a0the essence of our relationship.
