‘Keep it simple’ was the motto behind the relaxed country wedding\u00a0of Emma Langley and Tom O\u2019Shaunessey.<\/span><\/p>\n The Newcastle couple, both 27, married on September 5, 2015 with minimal fuss and formalities, \u201creflective of our personalities,\u201d says Emma. \u201c<\/span>It was a relaxed and intimate ceremony, comprised of handwritten vows and music played by close friends, surrounded by our favourite company,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n Emma and Tom first met through mutual friends. After dating just five weeks, they bid each other a fond farewell and headed off on respective trips to Europe which, by coincidence, were planned for the same time.\u00a0“It was very difficult to say goodbye,” recalls Emma. A week later after checking into her London hotel, Emma was\u00a0walking past a tavern when Tom spotted her\u00a0through the window! “Tom changed his travel plans to meet me in Santorini six weeks later,” Emma says. “The rest is \u00a0history!”<\/p>\n They married at Adam’s Peak Country Estate in Broke, NSW, which boasts a gorgeous backdrop of the valley and mountains. \u201cThere was an ominous dark rain cloud in the west and a rainbow in the north,\u201d explains Emma.\u00a0\u201cPost ceremony our guests headed up to the viewing deck for canapes, espresso martini’s and cigars.\u201d\u00a0Their reception was styled as\u00a0a dinner party with classic long tables<\/a> and share platters.<\/p>\n Emma says Tom is the most genuine and caring man she has ever met.
