They met nine years prior in what Sharon describes as a \u201creal-life <em>Bend it Like Beckham<\/em> story\u201d. \u201cHe was my soccer coach and we were friends for a couple of years \u2026 but then we became inseparable,\u201d she says. &#8220;The team were so happy to finally know why I had never been benched!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The main goal of their wedding, other than to get married of course, was to have a relaxed, fun-filled time. \u201cWhen <a title=\"Using technology to bust your wedding planning stress\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/blogs\/easy-weddings-blog\/fresh-ideas-using-tech-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">planning <\/a>our wedding I was told by just about everyone that I was the most relaxed and easy-going bride,\u201d says Sharon. \u201cI knew what I wanted and we were lucky to have great support around us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She says the only requests were they have something by the water, something simple, not to wait too long and for the day to reflect them as a couple.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn a beautiful sunny April day, we had our ceremony on Elwood Pier in front of 260 friends and family,\u201d descirbes the bride. \u201cThe pier was decorated with white fold chairs, a red carpet, bamboo arch and a few other finer details.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Photos courtesy
