It was only appropriate Kristy Niedra marry her prankster boyfriend Ben Adorna on\u00a0April Fools’ Day.<\/p>\n
A year after becoming friends at the gym, Ben, 32, decided to woo Kristy, 29, on Valentine’s Day with a box of \u201cflours\u201d \u2013 actual packets of the baking ingredient\u00a0\u2013 sent anonymously to her work. “I was stumped as to who could have sent them,” recalls Kristy. “Half an hour later the reception door rang again and there was a large box of flowers (real ones, the smelling kind.) I nervously messaged Ben to ask if it was him and he confessed.”<\/p>\n
When popping the question two years later, Ben had another trick up his sleeve. \u201cLeading up to my birthday he told me that a famous magician is doing a competition where you have to upload a video doing a trick and the winner gets to meet him \u2014 so he wanted to do it at my birthday dinner where he had an audience,\u201d explains Kristy.<\/p>\n
Turns out Ben just wanted a camera rolling when he asked her to marry him<\/a>! \u201cI was so surprised and over the moon however the first thing that came out of my mouth was, ‘Are you serious?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The Melbourne couple married at their rustic wedding at Dalywaters Rose Farm’s Garden Chapel<\/a> in Mornington, with a reception at the bride\u2019s parents\u2019 place. \u201cThe theme was rustic with a hint of Star Wars<\/em> as Ben is utterly obsessed,\u201d smiles Kristy. \u201cOur ceremony was short and sweet \u2014 just how we wanted it.\u201d<\/p>\n Photos courtesy of Calai Photography<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kristy’s bouquet<\/a> boasted an eclectic mix of natives and\u00a0traditional flowers like roses.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Karen Wilmot<\/a> – who services Victoria\u00a0– married the happy couple,\u00a0embracing their simple, and short ceremony.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The bride and groom were dressed by\u00a0Nifi Bridal<\/a> and Ferrari Formalwear<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “We had a standing cocktail wedding with lots of food, drinks and dancing,” describes the bride. Moreish Catering<\/a> created the roaming menu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n “My parents put so much effort into make every little detail spectacular from lawn games<\/a>, thongs for guests with sore feet, fire pits with hay bales for seating and a wall dedicated to our loved ones who are no longer with us,” describes Kristy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “My brother organised a group called the 501st Knightfall Squad where the members dress up as Star Wars<\/em> characters and attend functions for donations towards a children\u2019s charity,” says Kristy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n
