{"id":186369,"date":"2017-10-18T21:00:23","date_gmt":"2017-10-18T10:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/hannah-and-matt-overcome-wet-weather-for-modern-vintage-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T00:54:18","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T13:54:18","slug":"hannah-and-matt-overcome-wet-weather-for-modern-vintage-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/hannah-and-matt-overcome-wet-weather-for-modern-vintage-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Hannah and Matt overcome wet weather for modern vintage wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Weather plays such a large role in a wedding day &#8211; and for Hannah Olley and Matthew Skelton it was mixed emotions studying the forecast for their April 2, 2017 modern vintage wedding.<\/p>\n<p>It was a rain-filled month leading up to the event held at Springfield House in Dural, NSW, and the night before <a title=\"How to embrace a wet weather wedding\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/articles\/wet-weather-wedding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scattered showers<\/a> were predicted. After a fine\u00a0morning where the groom, 26, enjoyed some golf and the bride, 24, spent time sipping champagne and <a title=\"Beauty Services\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingBeautyServices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">preparing<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 the wet weather well and truly arrived.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had fallen in love with Springfield House for a\u00a0garden wedding, but the weather was against us and it didn&#8217;t stop raining from the time I got into the car until after our ceremony,\u201d explains Hannah. \u201cThe staff rushed our ceremony inside and it was beautiful.
