A chance meeting on Facebook led to lasting love for Miranda and Leigh.

“Leigh still to this day jokingly thanks Mark Zuckerberg for creating Facebook and allowing us to meet,” Miranda, 27, says.

The couple became engaged in March 2016 after Leigh, 30, popped the question during a romantic weekend away in Melbourne’s CBD.

“We married on February 24, 2018. I was happy I allowed almost two years planning everything as there is so much to take into consideration,” Miranda says of their black tie vineyard wedding.

The couple kept the guest list small for their summer celebrations at Yering Station in Yarra Glen.

“We decided for a smaller more intimate wedding of 55 guests and I’m so happy we did, it felt more personal and we managed to speak to all our guests at some point during the night,” Miranda says.

The night was full of personal touches, including a mini-trivia game, courtesy of KC Entertainment.

“The questions related to Leigh and I as a couple which took place at the start of the reception to break the ice and it worked,” Miranda says.

“Everyone got really involved in answering the questions it even got a little competitive towards the end.”

Photos courtesy of Aria Photography.

Miranda found her classic lace gown at Fairytales Bridal Boutique. Her hair was styled to perfection by Magical Makeovers.

Classic black tie was the theme for Leigh and his best man, who were dressed in tuxedos from Ferrari Formalwear.

Miranda travelled in style in a classic wedding car from Triple R Luxury Car Hire. “Their drivers were fantastic,” praises Miranda.

Celebrant Andrew Redman married the pair, the bride commenting, “He is such a talented celebrant and takes the time to get to get to know each individual couple. He made our ceremony a personal reflection of our relationship.”

“Leigh he keeps me grounded and calm which was handy in general but was extremely handy during the wedding planning process and he always sees the good in things. He is a very gentlemanly and he always puts my needs before his own,” Miranda says.

“We also had a small bridal party only having a best man, maid of honor and flower girl, which relieved a lot of the stress. At the time I was worried I would regret it and thought the photos might look awkward but I think they have a more personal feel and I also got some beautiful photos with my best friend that I will treasure forever,” the bride says.

“My bouquet exceeded my expectations and I decided the day of my wedding that I had to have it preserved,” Miranda says of her Debbie O’Neill Freelance Designs.
