{"id":183476,"date":"2018-04-23T10:23:27","date_gmt":"2018-04-23T00:23:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/meeting-their-match-clare-and-christians-blue-and-white-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-05-17T16:40:09","modified_gmt":"2022-05-17T06:40:09","slug":"meeting-their-match-clare-and-christians-blue-and-white-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/meeting-their-match-clare-and-christians-blue-and-white-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting their match: Clare and Christian&#8217;s blue and white wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Clare and Christian describe their love story as romantic karma.<\/p>\n<p>Years earlier, Clare, 34, had helped set up a now happily-married couple, and along the way met the bride&#8217;s brother, Christian, also 34.<\/p>\n<p>Sparks flew and matchmaker Clare was then set up herself and she and Christian quickly became inseparable.<\/p>\n<p>After Christian&#8217;s surprise proposal on the Mornington Peninsula, the Melbourne couple got down to planning their blue and white wedding.<\/p>\n<p>The traditional ceremony was held at Clare&#8217;s old school chapel at\u00a0Genazzano FCJ on November 25, 2017 in front of 90 friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>The celebrations continued on at <a title=\"Yarra Valley Lodge\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/YarraValley\/YarraValleyLodge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yarra Valley Lodge<\/a>, which the bride had helped decorate in an elegant blue and white colour palette.<\/p>\n<p>Clare says planning the blue and white wedding was almost as good as the day itself.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The wedding is not just the day itself but all the amazing events leading up to it,&#8221; she says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Enjoy and cherish all those fun occasions like wedding dress shopping with mum or bridesmaid dress shopping with the girls. To enjoy planning things with the family and<br \/>\nchoosing songs and the meal and the flowers. it but spent the whole rest of the day trying on other dresses \u2013 none of them beat this first one I tried on so we went back at the end of the day and bought it,&#8221; she
