Clare and Christian describe their love story as romantic karma.

Years earlier, Clare, 34, had helped set up a now happily-married couple, and along the way met the bride’s brother, Christian, also 34.

Sparks flew and matchmaker Clare was then set up herself and she and Christian quickly became inseparable.

After Christian’s surprise proposal on the Mornington Peninsula, the Melbourne couple got down to planning their blue and white wedding.

The traditional ceremony was held at Clare’s old school chapel at Genazzano FCJ on November 25, 2017 in front of 90 friends and family.

The celebrations continued on at Yarra Valley Lodge, which the bride had helped decorate in an elegant blue and white colour palette.

Clare says planning the blue and white wedding was almost as good as the day itself.

“The wedding is not just the day itself but all the amazing events leading up to it,” she says.

“Enjoy and cherish all those fun occasions like wedding dress shopping with mum or bridesmaid dress shopping with the girls. To enjoy planning things with the family and “The actual wedding day is just the grand finale.”

Photos courtesy of Pause the Moment.

Clare found her gown at Designer Bridal House, it was the first she tried on. “I loved it but spent the whole rest of the day trying on other dresses – none of them beat this first one I tried on so we went back at the end of the day and bought it,” she says.

Christian and his groomsmen wore classic grey suits from Andre J Menswear.

Blue Singapore orchids and white flowers helped set the colour tone for the couple’s blue and white wedding.

“Our favourite part of the whole wedding day was the bridal party photo shoot,” Clare says with Pause the Moment. “We got golf carts to drive around the grounds finding the best spots for some amazing shots. We drank champagne, laughed and posed.”

choosing songs and the meal and the flowers. Enjoying all these parts makes the wedding feel like it lasts six months or more!
