Choosing to marry in summertime meant Alicia and Lachlan, both aged 30, had made preparations to keep their guests cool.<\/span><\/p>\n But a downpour of rain the morning of January 13, 2018 meant it was a no longer the primary issue \u2013 but preparing for the wet weather was! \u201cLuckily our vendors were prepared, nobody knew it was the back-up plan and the rest of the day went off like clockwork,\u201d smiles Alicia of her\u00a0classic elegant\u00a0wedding.<\/span><\/p>\n The ceremony and reception at Werribee Mansion<\/a> was a beautiful backdrop for photos. \u201cAs we left for photos, our guests enjoyed drinks, canapes, ice cream and lawn games,\u201d says the bride. \u201cWe had a golf buggy to take the bridal party around for photos.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe rest of the night entailed a three-course meal, wine, beer and spirits, cheese wheel wedding cake, speeches full of laughter, photobooth<\/a> and a live band keeping everyone on the dance floor for the entire night.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The cheese wheel wedding cake was a huge hit with guests, Alicia says. \u201cLachie and I are really not cake<\/a> people, but we love our cheese and wine. We now have a friend dubbed the \u2018Cheeseburgler\u2019 because he took so much!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Photos courtesy of Pause the Moment Photography<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The bride was beaming in her off-the-shoulder lace gown<\/a>\u00a0from Collezione Bridal Couture.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cOriginally we were meant to be under the silky oak trees in the Mansion gardens, but we stayed dry at the Pavilion,\u201d explains Alicia.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cFor the four months leading up to the wedding Lachie and I were actually living in Florence, Italy due to Lachie\u2019s work. As a memento of our time there we decided to get Lachie\u2019s ring from the famous gold stores on the Ponte Vecchio bridge,\u201d says Alicia.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Alicia describes, “A little post-ceremony treat for all our guests was ice cream by Bianco Latte<\/a>; there’s even some pics of Lachie and I sneaking in a treat.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
