{"id":182254,"date":"2018-02-25T19:00:36","date_gmt":"2018-02-25T08:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/when-the-timing-is-right-amanda-and-brendans-modern-tropical-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T01:40:33","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T14:40:33","slug":"when-the-timing-is-right-amanda-and-brendans-modern-tropical-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/when-the-timing-is-right-amanda-and-brendans-modern-tropical-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"When the timing is right&#8217;: Amanda and Brendan&#8217;s modern tropical wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Amanda and Brendan\u2019s modern tropical wedding was a day at one point the bride didn&#8217;t think would come.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because, despite being in a happy relationship, things ended when Brendan moved away for work. \u201cBrendan believed a long-distance relationship would not be sustainable,\u201d explains Amanda. \u201cIt was a civil breakup, I respected his decision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But that wasn\u2019t the end of the story for the couple, both aged 35. \u201cI honestly wasn\u2019t expecting to hear from Brendan again and moved on with my life,\u201d says Amanda. \u201cFast forward to August 2016 and I receive a text message out of the blue from an unknown number which turned out to be him!\u201d The pair met for a drink and the rest is history.<\/p>\n<p>Their Palm Cove event on September 16, 2017 with 100 guests included a ceremony at Alamanda Chapel and reception at <a title=\"Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort &amp; Spa\" href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Cairns\/PullmanPalmCoveSeaTempleResortAndSpa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort &amp; Spa<\/a>. The couple are particularly full of praise for their photographers from Blue Sky Photography. \u201cThe photos themselves are incredible with lots of stunning natural images \u2014 capturing real
