{"id":179076,"date":"2018-08-05T20:00:49","date_gmt":"2018-08-05T10:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/military-meeting-emilia-and-kristian-marry-at-elegant-rustic-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T02:40:20","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T15:40:20","slug":"military-meeting-emilia-and-kristian-marry-at-elegant-rustic-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/military-meeting-emilia-and-kristian-marry-at-elegant-rustic-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Military meeting: Emilia and Kristian marry at elegant rustic wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Emilia, 25, and Kristian, 28, met in the Defence Force but it took a second chance meeting to spark their romantic flame.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Kristian posted to Townsville with the Army in 2013, I was working in the accommodation office on base and met Kristian while completing his move in room inspection,\u201d explains the bride. \u201cI was immediately taken by this handsome guy who was so genuinely friendly from the start, and while I kept trying to drop hints, he says he didn\u2019t want to be \u2018that guy\u2019 and so we missed our chance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A year later they crossed paths and it was then they realised they were &#8220;onto something\u201d. When Emilia enlisted in the Air Force they took on a long distance relationship, an experience this bride says brought them closer. \u201cWe took every chance we could get to visit his family in Hobart, sneak away for weekend trips, or pretend to be a normal couple, cuddled up on the couch at home.
