{"id":177713,"date":"2018-06-25T20:00:24","date_gmt":"2018-06-25T10:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/rachel-and-david-celebrate-aussie-way-of-life-at-relaxed-vineyard-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T02:23:22","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T15:23:22","slug":"rachel-and-david-celebrate-aussie-way-of-life-at-relaxed-vineyard-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/rachel-and-david-celebrate-aussie-way-of-life-at-relaxed-vineyard-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Rachel and David celebrate Aussie way of life at relaxed vineyard wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Originally hailing from Canada, bride Rachel wanted her relaxed vineyard wedding to David to truly capture the Australian way of life.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was not expecting to date and eventually marry the most Aussie man I have ever met,&#8221; Rachel, 20, says of her relationship with David, 27.<\/p>\n<p>After popping the question on a family holiday, the couple gave themselves 10 months to plan their relaxed vineyard wedding.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted to stray away from the traditional church and hall wedding that many young<br \/>\nChristian couples usually opt for and especially wanted to highlight the beautiful Western<br \/>\nAustralian outdoors,&#8221; Rachel says.<\/p>\n<p>The couple chose the Scented Gardens, a secret hideaway within South Park for their ceremony celebrated with 110 guests on February 3, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The reception followed at asmall family-run winery, Albion on Swan in the Swan Valley.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We had some lights and an empty field to completely make the space our own. We adorned the tables with candles, native Australian flowers and Turkish bread with balsamic and dukkha,&#8221; Rachel says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My family who came from Canada was so excited to
