{"id":176982,"date":"2019-02-03T19:00:21","date_gmt":"2019-02-03T08:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/nicole-and-daniel-celebrate-romantic-wedding-in-beautiful-dandenong-ranges\/"},"modified":"2022-03-17T03:50:27","modified_gmt":"2022-03-16T16:50:27","slug":"nicole-and-daniel-celebrate-romantic-wedding-in-beautiful-dandenong-ranges","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/nicole-and-daniel-celebrate-romantic-wedding-in-beautiful-dandenong-ranges\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicole and Daniel celebrate romantic wedding in beautiful Dandenong Ranges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">A shared love of helping others brought Melbourne couple Nicole and Daniel together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe met in Thailand on a &#8216;fly and build&#8217; service project fixing up a rundown school at the end of 2014,\u201d explains Nicole, 23.\u00a0\u201cHe likes to think he was smooth and wooed me with his charm, but I definitely did most of the conversation starting!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The couple had a long-distance relationship for two years until Daniel, 28, moved to Melbourne to join Nicole.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder a year later, and picking a Monday to throw me off properly, Dan took a knee in our apartment surrounded by petals, fairy lights, and candles and asked me the question. I said &#8216;of course&#8217; instead of yes but it still counts,\u201d Nicole says with a laugh.<\/p>\n<p>The couple set the date, September 8, 2018, for their romantic wedding in the Dandenong Ranges, holding the ceremony at picturesque <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/YarraValley\/ChateauWyuna\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chateau Wyuna<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reception venue was one of the easiest ones to lock in. We&#8217;re very outdoorsy people and when we drove to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/YarraValley\/MistOlinda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mist @ Olinda<\/a> through the gorgeous forests and huge trees we knew immediately that we had to have that setting and show the stunning area off to our friends and family,\u201d Nicole says.<\/p>\n<p>The bride also wore her mum\u2019s wedding dress, modified to suit her style.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy wonderful friend is a dressmaker and took my mum&#8217;s amazing 90s lace dress apart and put it back together in a style more suited to me.
