She was urged to reach out again, and Mahalo arranged to fly from Melbourne to Perth so they could finally meet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Waiting impatiently as his flight landed, I couldn&#8217;t see him,&#8221; explains the bride. &#8220;I began to think he didn&#8217;t actually make the trip&#8230; until I saw him! He was the last one off the plane. He was nervous as he was trying to look around and see me through the crowd.&#8221; The connection was instant, so Ashlee packed up her life and moved to Melbourne the following week.<\/p>\n<p>The pair married at their beach wedding on October 6, 2018 in Phuket, Thailand. The bride describes the day as &#8220;tropical, simple and elegant&#8221;. &#8220;It was full of laughter, Polynesian culture and burning up that dancefloor,&#8221; she laughs.<\/p>\n<p>Photos
