Missing a flight is a painful situation – but especially when you’ve planned your entire proposal around it!

Daniel, 27, was waiting to propose to Adela-Dora, 30, when she landed in Canberra. “The proposal was not without obstacles, especially when I missed my flight to Canberra where Dan had planned the proposal in detail,” explains Dora. “And in absence of any other flights available that evening, I had to fly to Sydney where Dan promptly got in the car and drove to meet me.”

That meant the ring was left in his pocket for the rest of the weekend, until Dora was an hour away from flying out again. “We were both having a casual chat while sitting on a bench, admiring the view at Dairy Farmer’s Hill Lookout,” smiles Dora.

The pair married at their classic wedding on September 15, 2018 with 270 guests at Linley Estate in Kilsyth.

“We opted for a lunch day wedding, and wanted our guests to mingle freely with the day at their disposal, not being worried about getting home late into the night, or work the next day,” says the bride. “The coffee cart we hired was an absolute hit on the day, with our guests getting their caffeine fix and mingling throughout the day, as well as taking photos at the photo booth, and enjoying a mix of desserts, including amazing Romanian cake.”

“We opted for soft pinks, nudes, creams and whites as our colour scheme of choice, which extended from our flowers to reception decorations,” explains the bride.

“Our ceremony was onsite at the beautiful Linley chapel, followed by photos and our lunch reception,” says Dora.

“Although the weather was a perfect example of all that temperamental Melbourne weather could throw at us, the gardens at the venue were in full spring glory, and our photography team were absolutely marvellous at helping us get our special shots,” says Dora.
