{"id":168561,"date":"2019-08-07T20:00:22","date_gmt":"2019-08-07T10:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/blue-mountains-host-sheree-and-stevens-scottish-highland-winter-wedding\/"},"modified":"2024-04-09T12:33:24","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T02:33:24","slug":"blue-mountains-host-sheree-and-stevens-scottish-highland-winter-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/blue-mountains-host-sheree-and-stevens-scottish-highland-winter-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Blue Mountains host Sheree and Steven&#8217;s Scottish highland winter wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">After being posted to the same police station early in their careers, Sheree and Steven couldn\u2019t deny their chemistry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe quickly formed a strong friendship, however, knew that there was something more beneath the surface,\u201d Sheree explains.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the timing was right, we knew that our relationship was inevitable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Steven popped the question while the couple was holidaying in the US, and on returning home they began planning their Scottish Highland winter wedding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are both from families of Scottish descent, and the Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens really had a cold Scottish Highlands vibe to it, particularly given that the weather was cloudy and dreary,\u201d Sheree says of the June 8, 2019 celebrations in the Blue Mountains.<\/p>\n<p>The couple\u2019s 94 guests were then kept cosy at reception venue The Potager, where the couple\u2019s wedding vision really came to life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe incorporated our personal style by being very hands-on, and deciding on virtually every aspect of the day, including d\u00e9cor (right down to plates and napkins!)
