Cynthia and Daniel, 34 and 30, made it their priority to create a wedding that properly reflected their personalities and who they are as a couple.

“We wanted to have a personalised wedding and we wanted to ensure all the elements matched,” the bride explains. “We had personalised menus with fun facts about us as a couple, ‘His and Hers’ martinis and an oyster bar on the lawn before the reception – something we shared on many dates together.”

The personal elements didn’t stop there. Cynthia’s favourite colour green featured throughout the bridal party outfits and the floral design, and the couple paid homage to their Maltese background with an authentic Maltese food truck for guests to enjoy after the ceremony.

“We also had our table names as places in Malta, and a little story about each place so guests knew what it meant to us,” Cynthia adds.

The couple tied the knot with a traditional ceremony at St. Benedict’s and later celebrated their commitment with a rustic luxe wedding reception held in the Great Hall at Sydney University. Guests were kept entertained throughout the festivities with a live band, a caricature artist, fireworks, a surprise song by the bride and a up-beat choreographed dance routine by the newlyweds.
