Close friends and family witnessed the union in a chapel, on the grounds of Maleny Manor.<\/p>\n<p>The groom&#8217;s grandmother and grandfather were there in spirit, with two red poppies placed on the couple&#8217;s wedding cake to pay tribute to them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Poppies were chosen as Patrick&#8217;s grandfather was a war hero,&#8221; explains the bride.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We couldn&#8217;t
