{"id":166765,"date":"2019-06-11T20:00:59","date_gmt":"2019-06-11T10:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.easyweddings.com\/au\/real-weddings\/brodie-and-andrew-celebrate-industrial-luxe-wedding\/"},"modified":"2022-05-17T16:37:12","modified_gmt":"2022-05-17T06:37:12","slug":"brodie-and-andrew-celebrate-industrial-luxe-wedding","status":"publish","type":"au-real-wedding","link":"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/real-weddings\/brodie-and-andrew-celebrate-industrial-luxe-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Opposing tales: Brodie and Andrew celebrate love at industrial luxe wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Brodie and Andrew found the perfect venue before they actually got engaged.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From the beginning, I wanted to capture a contrast between the gritty industrial space and the whimsy of beautiful flowers and foliage,&#8221; explains Brodie about why they booked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easyweddings.com.au\/WeddingVenues\/Melbourne\/GatherAndTailor\/\">Gather and Tailor<\/a> before they even got engaged.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We live in St Kilda and really enjoy the opposing tales that a suburb like this can tell; our wedding day was no different.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Melbourne couple, aged 27 and 34 respectively, wed on October 10, 2018, after meeting at Brodie&#8217;s old high school where they were both teachers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During a school assembly I was wandering about while students were settling down and I noticed that he was fiddling with a camera. I marched up to him and struck up a conversation about the camera and what he was doing. I believe I asked him if he actually knew what he was doing!&#8221; laughs the bride. &#8220;For the record, I know nothing about cameras or photography.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Brodie has some great advice for other couples tying the knot.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Everything that happened on the day is what makes it all the more special.
