Justin slid into Samantha’s DMs before “it was even a thing”.

The bride says the proposal is something they laugh about now. It was one evening in bed when Justin, 28, thought he had received a scam email asking him for thousands of dollars. “He turned to me in bed and showed me this email, I scrolled through it and saw the email signature Diamond Exchange, so I Googled it,” Sam recalls. “I told Justin it’s from a shop in Melbourne, and he swiftly grabbed the phone back. Turns out it was a legit invoice for the ring! From that point on I had it in the back of my mind that it might finally happen.”

They wed at their winery wedding on December 14, 2019 at Tarrawarra Estate in Yarra Glen. “We knew we wanted something a bit more low-key than the traditional wedding to celebrate us,” says Sam. “We’ve kept things relatively minimal and laid back. All we need is our friends, family, food, and good music.”

Photos courtesy of Black Avenue Productions.
