Of course, picking favourite bouquets to a florist is like choosing which child is your fave… but we cheekily asked them anyway! Some of our most esteemed, talented and sought after florists shared their favourites and why.

Imogen from Flower Soul

Bold, bright colours for the win!

“As a florist, I tend to naturally gravitate towards creating triangle-shaped bouquets and upside-down triangles,” says Imogen. “Our arrangements are very natural looking and free-flowing, so it’s usually an unstructured loose shape although we appreciate all kinds of shapes. I love the combination of romantic reds, burgundy and soft pinks mixed with natives and even preserved elements in this bouquet! Like wheat — check it out poking through at the back! These kinds of playful bouquets bring me joy, and I’m sure the joy bounces off and permeates into others.”

Nothing like a bright red dahlia and cabernet scabiosa combo amiright!

Love this twist on a classic here.

“This bouquet was actually a prize for a lucky bride in an Instagram competition that I ran last year,” says Nicole. “I love it because it has simple, clean colours with the crisp white roses but has a complementary softness with the variety of rustic green foliage. I think this bouquet would work beautifully in so many different themed weddings, it’s a more on-trend version of the classic white rose bouquet.”

Don’t you just want to cradle those gorgeous roses!

Brooke from Honey Bunch Botanicals

Brooke shared this huge, wild and incredible bouquet with us, and we’re in love! Non-traditional, but striking and modern.

“I absolutely love this bunch of blooms,” says Brooke. “It’s earthy, unstructured, bold and a bit on the wild side. I find there’s something rather striking about using a small yet intentional variety of florals to create a bouquet. Each gathering of blooms stands out and complements the other. And who doesn’t love a cascading orchid?!”

Amen. Loving those phalaenopsis orchids adding some extra elegance and romance to this bouquet design!

Helen from Flower Head Events shared this stunning and moody design with a mixture of ivory, burgundy and lush greenery.

“I love these alternative looks — when a client isn’t afraid to express themselves, even if it’s unconventional. This bride was a bit of a rock star!”

Wow! We love these colours together and the use of darker colours in a bouquet is a great touch for an alternative look.

Katie from Perfect Harmony Florals

A sentimental approach to a bridal bouquet.

“I love this bouquet because I created it for my very special bride who wanted to use her grandmother’s gum nuts in her bouquet. This bouquet was created to reflect the brides favourite colour blue and her grandmother’s love of roses.”

We love the use of soft colours, delicate greenery and the personal touch of the gum nuts — stunning!

Alyssa from Thrive Flowers and Events

Alyssa shared this gorgeous bouquet with us, a combination of reds and pinks. It’s from a wedding at Abbotsford Covent for bride Christina. This wedding was about two years ago, around the time when bouquet shapes changed to a more modern style.

“I love the deep, rich hues and the combination of native flowers and foliage with Australian grown roses, teamed with a touch of tropical orchids and a variety of textured foliage,” says Alyssa.

Such a good one!
