Wedding receptions are a heap of fun. One of our favourite games that couples are often now opting to play during their reception is the “wedding shoe game”. This game is quite simple as all you need is the couple, two chairs, their shoes and some questions.

The couple is to sit in the middle of the dancefloor, back to back in chairs. They both remove their shoes and exchange one, so now they are holding one of their shoes, and one of their partners shoes.

During the game, an MC or host asks a series of questions, to which the answer is either member of the couple. For example, “who cooks dinner the most?”. Then, both people answer but not by saying anything, instead by raising the shoe of the person that they believe is the answer.

The question lasts about 10 minutes, with 25 or so questions asked. It’s up to you if you want to write your own questions, have the crowd yell them out, have them selected by someone else. If it’s going really well and the crowd is enjoying themselves, you could add a few questions.

So, how do you play?
