Okay so you’ve been wedding dress shopping, and you’ve found “the one”! But what should you NOT do after buying your wedding dress? If you’ve recently said yes to the dress, there are a few things that you should avoid to ensure that you don’t suffer from wedding dress regret<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1. Keep looking<\/h3>\n

One of the biggest mistakes brides-to-be make is looking around after they found the dress they want to get married in. You found it, you bought it- don’t cloud your judgment with other dresses! Unless you are looking for a reception dress and have the spare cash in your budget, don’t do it!<\/p>\n

2. Go too hard on the diet<\/h3>\n

The person you are marrying loves you for you! Don’t try to lose a bunch of weight on a ridiculous diet or going OTT at the gym “sweating for the wedding”. You will look perfect on your wedding day, so don’t get stressed about it. After you pick your dress, the boutique will measure you and order the correct size for you, so if you lose a bunch of weight, it may alter the way your dress looks on you too much. Of course, a little weight will be no trouble as it will be catered for with alterations.<\/p>\n

3. Show everyone<\/h3>\n

Don’t get too excited about your dress and show everyone that you know. Remember that their opinions don’t matter and on the day you will look like a goddess and that’s all the matters. It would be a shame if you showed Aunt Beryl only to have her not like it and make you feel bad.<\/p>\n

4. Forget the lingerie<\/h3>\n

Ideally, you should purchase your lingerie with your dress in mind and then try it on underneath when you are having alterations done. In some gowns, a bra won’t be necessary, and in some, your lingerie will have to be nude rather than white or ivory, and it’s obviously better to know this prior to your wedding day.<\/p>\n

5. Forget to accessorise<\/h3>\n

Remember to think about which veil (if any) would go with your dress, or a crown, plus your earrings, necklace, shoes and everything else! If it’s going to be cold, maybe you need a shawl too.<\/p>\n
