Madelyn Seymour and Daniel Dawson wanted their wedding day to be just like them – relaxed and laid-back with a true Aussie spirit.
The Brisbane couple were dreaming of a venue that would match their rustic Australian wedding theme and found it at Cherbon Waters.
“The view, the marquee and the deck that we got married on just fit with our vision so perfectly,” Madelyn, 22, says. “As soon as we arrived to take it look, we were sold immediately.”
She and Dan, 28, wed on April 16, 2016 in front of 85 friends and family.
The couple got their dream of an outdoor ceremony before heading into the onsite marquee for the evening celebrations.
Madelyn and Dan made their own photo booth and arranged the native centrepieces themselves.
“We’re very laid back, go-with-the-flow sort of people and the wedding was just that,” Madelyn says.
“There were no expectations and no worries.”

Tic Tac Tours and Premier Limousines provided transport for the big day. “Our driver was very lovely, and prompt,” praises Madelyn.
Madelyn met Dan the night of her 18th birthday. “Dan pulled me in with his bad dancing and we eventually got talking. Ever since then there hasn’t been a week we haven’t spoken to each other,” she says.
When it came to the venue decor, the couple went with an Australian native theme with greenery and navy blue chair sashes.
