There was no question of where the wedding was going to be when Whitney and Carl started planning their wedding as they returned to their happy place, Mudgee, where Carl popped the question while pretending to be panning for gold.
“We had a lot of guests coming from overseas so it was important to us to make it a memorable getaway for them,” explains Whitney.
“In the days leading up to the wedding, folks enjoyed all the local Mudgee favourites – the cellar doors, Dunns swamp, great local cuisine and the Honey Haven!”
The couple, aged 30 and 32 respectively, wed at church ceremony on February 23, 2019, before the reception celebrations at the fairytale-like Blue Wren Farm.
“There were little hints of Canada in a quintessentially rural Australian setting, with fun and thoughtful personal touches that made all our guests feel at home,” explains the Canadian bride.
“It was a perfect day from start to finish.”
