When Jess first met Josh at the Oyster Bar in Mandurah, they both knew that they’ve met ‘someone special’.
After a year and half of whirlwind romance, Josh popped the question while holidaying in Cairns. “As I was packing our day bag and looking at the ships in the harbour from our hotel balcony, I turned around and he was on one knee. I was in shock because I wasn’t expecting it, it took a few moments for it to sink in and I wholehearted said YES!” recalls Jess with a laugh.
Planning their rustic contemporary wedding was a joint effort so it was rewarding to see all that planning come to life.
The loved-up pair, aged 29 and 30, wedded amongst loved ones in a romantic outdoor ceremony on April 21, 2019, then moved to the Main Gallery of Moore and Moore Cafe for canapé and drinks followed by a sit-down dinner.
“We ensured that each of our immediate family members had a role; my beautiful sister-in-law kept our rings from Michael Hill Jeweller safe, Josh’s brother was a groomsman and our mothers were our witnesses. I also had each of my family members walk me down part of the aisle with my Dad doing the final stretch,” explains the bride.
“We poured our hearts into our vows and continue to use love as our foundation for sharing and building our lives together as husband and wife.”
