The team at Attic Designs set off to the immaculate Ampelon Gardens to unleash some seriously beautiful wedding inspiration.
The husband-and-wife duo, Andrew and Madison Maher, from Mildura, Victoria, photographed four gorgeous girls in four different looks with the aim of inspiring brides-to-be to express their individuality.
“Too often we see brides are holding back,” says Andrew, who started shooting weddings with Madison four years ago. “They’re scared to be bold.”
But what the pair would love is for brides to break free of the ‘shoulds’ and ‘should nots’ associated with weddings and just go for it.
“Have fun with it,” he says. “It’s your day, it’s all about you. No-one is going to say, ‘Oh, she shouldn’t have worn that, or they shouldn’t have done that,” says Andrew.
Having recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary the artistic couple knows first-hand how it can feel wanting to go in one direction style-wise and being pulled in another by tradition and well-meaning loved ones.
But, he says, brides should rest assured. “They’ll look back at their photos with absolute love that they were true to their personalities and that they didn’t stunt any part of themselves.”
Here we feature Part 1 of the series with model Montana and her partner Mitch.

Madison collaborated with local floral designer, Kerry’s Flowers of Elegance, who put together this sweet bouquet of peach peonies, cerise cottage spray roses, hyacinth and blueberries.
Madison’s talents also extend to cakes! This one is a delectable lamington flavour with coconut, jam and cream, wrapped in white buttercream frosting.
