Tegan was enjoying a girls’ trip away to Bali when a surprise visit from partner Michael changed everything.
“On my second night we got dressed up for a nice dinner,” Tegan, 26, explains.
“Whilst there I got a tap on my shoulder and turned around to Michael proposing to me. He had flown to Bali to surprise me and propose in front of my family. “
After returning home, Tegan and Michael, 30, began planning their beach hotel wedding at Headlands Austinmer on the New South Wales south coast.
The bride says the area brings back many happy memories of family holidays, “this is what made our location so perfect,” Tegan says.
The couple says their priority for their big day, on October 20, 2018, was to have no regrets.
“My priorities when planning the wedding was to make sure we both had everything we ever wanted,” Tegan says.
The couple wed overlooking the beach before the reception at the Headlands’ newly-renovated function room.
Tegan says the wouldn’t change a thing. “There was a lot of meaning behind our wedding,” she says.

The couple’s classic rings were sourced from Michael Hill.
Michael’s groomsmen teamed waistcoats with bowties, while the groom upped the fashion stakes with a matching jacket.
Tegan and Michael first met on a night out in Kings Cross. “We had an instant connection,” Tegan says.
