A decade ago Tammy and partner Jean Akari couldn’t quite afford the wedding they had always dreamed of.
But that didn’t stop them getting hitched – they married with a simple registry wedding in November 2005, and later had two children. But last year on November 7, on their 10-year wedding anniversary, they finally said “I do” in the fashion they always wanted.
The vow renewal on Sydney Harbour was celebrated with 130 guests. Tammy wore a stunning gown from Azzaria Couture, and Jean dressed his best in Peppers Formal Wear.
In the lead up to the big day, the couple had an anniversary shoot with Lil Elements. Tammy’s vision of the nautical wedding got a stylish test run with a fun family shoot on the beach including their daughter Jamila and son Raheem.
The anniversary party and vow renewal was celebrated on Sydney’s Blue Room by The Elite Cruise Company, decorated by ELKhair Florist and Medina Designs.
“Finally, we got our dream wedding,” beams the bride.

Count the tiers! The couple had quite the grand cake at their party.
