Kate and Andrew’s alternative wedding was so good that the bride is now getting requests to help others get down the aisle in style.
“The feedback we received was unbelievable. I’ve had a few friends ask for help planning their weddings!” Melbourne bride Kate says.
The pair opted for a Beauty and the Beast theme – with a modern twist – at dream venue Poet’s Lane in Sherbrooke.
“All the planning was DIY with little tips and tricks from our respective vendors,” the bride says of her February 16, 2019 wedding.
“Our style for the ceremony was incorporating the beautiful gardens of the gazebo. Filled with live acoustic music, a piano piece from our son, male bridesmaids, a whiskey box ceremony, a bull mastiff page boy, lawn games, cocktails and a vow from the guests to have the best time ever. We kept it personal, light-hearted and completely honest.”
Rosaline Flowers brought the outside in with an enchanted forest theme at the reception.
“The night was truly the best day of our lives,” Kate says.
“It was so satisfying to see all my hard work come together better than I ever imagined.”
