As a wedding and events specialist, Stephanie Hutton has been a part of hundreds of weddings – but nothing could compare to her big day with Mitchell Keogh.
Stephanie, 28, and Mitch, 29, first met way back in year 7. Stephanie says she was the teacher’s pet, while Mitch was the class clown.
“Mitch and I spent most of our time teasing each other,” Stephanie recalls. “If anyone would have told us that we would one day be married we would laughed.”
But after 12 years together, Mitch popped the question while on a romantic trip away to Thailand and the Melbourne couple began planning their elegant country wedding.
Yarra Ranges Estate set the scene for their elegant celebrations on January 21, 2017 in front of 86 friends and family.
“We wanted a small intimate wedding with an elegant country theme. With a mix of DIY and pops of burgundy throughout the wedding, it was just what we pictured,” Stephanie says.
“We wrote our own vows and made our ceremony a celebration of our journey over the past 12 years. We then enjoyed canapes on the lawn in the sunshine, followed by our sit-down reception.”
The reception was set on long tables with flower garlands and tea lights.
“The biggest surprise of the day was the speech my sisters had put together, they sang their speech and it was spectacular and had the room in hysterics,” the bride says.
“We spent the rest of the night mingling, celebrating and dancing.”

The beautiful bride and her bridesmaids had their hairstyles done by Magical Makeovers. “Everyone had different styles and nothing was an issue,” praises Stephanie.
Stephanie describes the floral arrangements by Debbie O’Neill Flowers as INCREDIBLE. “I wanted lots of flowers and everything looked perfect, exactly what I wanted,” she says.
“Mitch is my best friend, as crazy as he drives me I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Stephanie says. Mitch was dressed in a blue-grey suit and matching bow tie by formal specialists, Briggins .
Triple R Luxury Car Hire provided classic cars for the elegant country wedding. “The drivers were fantastic and I was on time!” smiles the bride.
The couple opted for a gorgeous cheese wheel cake.
“It was our day and we celebrated it with our amazing friends and family, just the way we wanted,” Stephanie says.
