While teaching a friend how Tinder works, Louise came across Michael’s profile and it was a match!
After a coffee date and a dinner where conversation flowed for hours, they were joined at the hip. Almost three years later, Michael planned an elaborate proposal during a romantic spa getaway which took Louise by surprise.
“Michael booked a cabin facing west to capture the sun setting over the mountains and we sat in a spa bath sipping champagne, watching the sun go down,” smiles the bride.
“Dinner was booked for that evening, I got ready and walked out of the bedroom to find champagne and chilled glasses set on a table while John Legend’s All of Me played in the background. Michael got down on one knee and of course, I said yes!”
The pair, 46 and 47 respectively, tied the knot on May 4, 2019, at the iconic Brisbane City Hall with a string quartet playing music from the 1930s during the ceremony.
“In twenty years’ time, every aspect of the wedding, from the venue to the dress will still be in style. Our wedding was elegant and understated yet relaxed and captured the essence of who we are and our love for each other.”
