Congrats to this couple who have won a place in our 2019 Wedding of the Year comp!
They are in the running to win a luxury second honeymoon at Heritance Aarah Maldives.
Kezzia and Jacob, both aged 20, met in Year 7. But it wasn’t until their final year of school they got closer.
“He had liked me for a few months and somehow I had no idea,” recalls Kezzia. “He finally built up the courage to ask me out and the sparks flew from there.” A year after they become boyfriend and girlfriend, Jacob proposed. “It was a beautiful, raw and emotional moment that I could never forget.”
The pair married at their rustic bohemian wedding on November 23, 2018 at Robertson Inn in NSW, doing many things themselves to keep costs down. “We made our wedding invites, signs, menus and seating chart on Photoshop ourselves,” explains Kezzia. “Then we simply printed and framed them. I bought all the flowers for the reception tables and ceremony and put them together myself.”
The wheels began to fall off a little in terms of planning as their wedding day approached, but despite the “chaos an stress”, the bride says: “I married the love of my life, and so did He. And now we get to build our life together. That’s really what it’s all about.”

“I found a gorgeous elegant lace dress from Oleg Cassini, which lined up perfectly in my budget,” says the bride.
“My husband found a beautiful light blue suit in which suited him perfectly as he didn’t want the typical black or navy blue suit that many grooms wear,” explains Kezzia.
The bride’s beautiful up-do was created by Beaux Cheveux by Ardina.
“Although we are only young (and did not have the hugest budget, we were still able to create our dream wedding,” recalls the bride.
